Mom’s New Camera
My mom got a really nice new camera yesterday. I took some pictures around my house.

No Country for Old Men

This tale of relentless pursuit of stolen money grabs the viewer from the start with its dusty realism. The lack of a musical score adds to the calm intensity as hitman/murderer Anton Chigurh (horrifyingly portrayed by Javier Bardem) hunts down Llewelyn Moss (a rugged, no nonsense hunter/welder played wonderfully by Josh Brolin) for having found and taken a briefcase containing over 2 million dollars of drug money. Tommy Lee Jones lends credibility to the story as he acts against the backdrop of his native Texas as Sheriff Ed Tom Bell, an aging third generation cop who is quickly being left behind by the changing scene around him and is still looking for that one defining moment in his career as Sheriff.
This film will leave you quaking and perplexed, but in the most wonderful way.
Dying Plant
Sketch of the dying plant in my room. I swear I haven’t watered that thing since Thanksgiving, I’m surprised it’s holding up so well.

Good Friday
In memoriam of the most important three days that ever took place or ever will take place. I am nothing without Him.

9th Degree of Darkness
The darkest roast around. Kudos to Old Crown Coffee Roasters. If this is wrong I don’t want to be right.

The Interwoven Nature of Scripture
I’m continually amazed and encouraged to find that as I read scripture, it’s all interwoven together. Ideas like great threads connect Isaiah to Mark, Jesus’ words to Acts, and countless others to create an immensely complex tapestry. This dispels any notion that the OT is of no use to Christians. It is absolutely vital to correct interpretation of the NT.
