A Note On the Photographs
By the way, if anyone would like prints of any of the photos I’ve been posting here just contact me somehow and we’ll work out a reasonable price.
There Will Be Blood

This film documents the slow unraveling of corrupt California oil man Daniel Plainview. The film’s intriguing title serves as a promise of the outcome of unfettered ambition and greed. Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) stumbles across an enormous ocean of oil underneath the tiny town of Little Boston. He encounters competition, however, from the young pastor of the Church of the Third Revelation, Eli Sunday (Paul Dano), who is hungry for glory and whose sermons consist mostly of bizarre screaming and supposed exorcisms (on his own authority, mind you).
This film is a raw and shocking exposure of the complete destruction that sin will cause when it runs its course. It definitely ranks in the top five for me and I would recommend this film to anyone for whom it is appropriate.
Oh Snap!
I can’t say that I’m particularly excited about one of my most recent purchases. This test is going to be one VERY BIG NASTY!!!*

Hermeneutics Quiz
I found this on Josh Longbrake’s blog and thought it was fun and thought provoking. It’s not conclusive in any way and some of the questions are frustrating as they may not have the specific answer you would like to give, but it’s worth taking. Just click on the link and choose “take assessment” toward the right. Let me know what you get! I scored between 53 and 65, or moderate, as it labeled me.
