~
I’ve been trying to keep up on posting everyday but it could be hard considering I’m on vacation and internet access is a bit limited. Looks like I’ll be posting several times every few days to keep caught up.
I was actually gonna post some yesterday morning but the power in the coffee shop I was in went out just as I was about to start writing.
I’m in Traverse City at the moment, along Michigan’s beautiful west coast. I love all these bay and harbor towns.
Okay, bye.

I’m writing this from Biggby Coffee in Gaylord, Michigan. I love coffee shops, especially ones with free wifi and good coffee.
Tomorrow it’s off to Charlevoix for the remainder of our vacation. I’ll probably be posting photos throughout the week so be on the lookout for that.

In the shade we wander along a highway’s shoulder
Into the back of beyond
Burning the daylight into a pastime
That’s too wise to come more than once
It’s boom, boom, thunder, ain’t no sleep coming
Out mining the slippery world
Of snow covered beaches, junkyards of diesel
And bombers named after girls
On bridges of black ice not built for the rush
There’s a new kind of beast getting up
That’s stranger than fiction
Speaking in tongue
In the valley of the low low sun

While changing my layout I decided to change my categories around. Here’s some help as to what the symbols will mean from now on.
⊰ used to be “blog”
+++ used to be “summer post-a-day series”
Θ used to be “religious/thoughtful”
ↂ used to be “art/photography”, “lyric of the day”, “film reviews”, and “music videos”
New Layout
As you can see, I have a new layout.
It’s pretty minimalistic, much like that of Amanda Ackermann and Josh Longbrake. The idea being maybe now I’ll write more worthwhile posts.
For My Friends (Amos Lee-Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight)
You should all know how much I love the time we spend together.
You’re the for real deal.
Well I walked over the bridge into the city where I live
And I saw my old landlord
We both said hello, there was nowhere else to go
‘Cause his rent I couldn’t afford
Well relationships change, though I think it’s kind of strange
How money makes a man grow
And some people, they claim if you get enough fame
You live over the rainbow
Over the rainbow
But the people on the street, out on buses, out on feet
We all got the same bloodflow
Oh, in society, every dollar got a deed
We all need a place where we can go
And feel over the rainbow
Sometimes we forget what we’ve got
Who we are, and who we are not
I think we got a chance to make it right
Keep it loose, keep it tight
Keep it tight
I’m in love with a girl who’s in love with the world
And I can’t help but follow
Though I know someday she is bound to fly away
And stay over the rainbow
Gotta learn how to let her go
Over the rainbow
But sometimes we forget who we got
Who they are, who they are not
There is so much more in love than black and white
Keep it loose, child, gotta keep it tight
Keep it loose, keep it tight
Keep it tight
